A New Year, New Beginnings!

Wishing you all a very Happy 2022!

In early 2020, my friend Ms. M and I made the decision to give teaching a shot and enrolled for a certification course in Early Childhood Education at a local community college. The first three months were super fun as we both were reliving our college days. Though I was slightly apprehensive in the beginning, having a companion was very encouraging. Soon after we started the course, I also started working in a preschool as a teacher’s aid to gain experience. Then, Covid-19 hit and the school closed and our course went offline, much to our disappointment. We were just starting to explore the campus, the cafeteria, etc., etc, but all that came to a full stop. Anyway, fast forward through four subjects to Dec 2021, when we finally completed our certification, which also included 50 hours of in-person observation in a preschool setting. Spending four hours a week with 3-5-year olds was enlightening, to say the least.

To New Beginnings!

As I was nearing the end of my course, I decided to push the pause button on my writing career and hit play on a new career. Being at a career crossroads, it was a difficult decision to make. But I feel it was the right time to make the switch. I am truly excited about this change in careers, after more than a decade of navigating through numerous content writing jobs that gave me a lot of exposure but didn’t really get me anywhere. So, as I enter this new phase in my career, I hope that 2022 brings good things with it, for me and for everyone.

As the world continues to struggle in the grips of more and more variations of Covid, all I ask for is some relief, for healthcare workers, for people impacted by Covid, directly or indirectly, and everyone around the globe.

Until I write again, please stay safe, healthy, and ready for new adventures.
